William Humphrey

 

William Humphrey is Bruce Peninsula-based lawyer, mediator, and facilitator.  Will received his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 and is a member of the Ontario Bar. While at law school, he received the McMillan Binch Contracts Award and competed for Canada at the World Negotiation Competition, where he was awarded First Place. Will was also a coach for the Canadian Team at subsequent World Negotiation Competitions.

Will has received Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) training at the University of Ottawa Law School and the University of Western Ontario Law School. Will has designed and taught conflict resolution and negotiation courses at the University of Western Ontario and has been a keynote speaker for the London Area Mediators’ Association and the Southwestern Ontario branch of the Project Management Institute. Will has mediated at the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal and was the Vice-President of the Dispute Resolution Centre in London, Ontario.

In 2009-2010, Will was a member of the negotiation team for a multi-million dollar labour negotiation, representing management while working for Canada’s largest privately owned nuclear facility. Will’s current law practice focuses on negotiation and settlement of a variety of civil litigation matters, generally surrounding family and employment matters.

Will is currently the Chair of the Grey-Bruce Collaborative Family Law Group and is a past Chair of the Grey County Family Law Practice Group.
