Great transition from in-person to online! I am always impressed at how much work goes into organizing these workshops, and it was just as good online as it has been in-person. Thanks for all your hard work to put these together rather than just waiting for everything to go back to in person! It more than met my expectations. Everything ran like clockwork (as it always does in person). Technical problems were anticipated, and I really appreciated the pre-meeting Zoom training session. The instructors do a fantastic job of balancing discussion with providing the content, and making the virtual workshops engaging and informative.

Personal conflicts are common occurrences in my role, and helping to manage those is very helpful, even if I’m not always a mediator. The skills I learned through this virtual instructor-led workshop are hugely valuable.
Christopher Hoffman, Peel Elementary Teachers’ Local
The chance to put the theory into practice and get feedback and learn from the performances of others is fantastic – provides a great learning environment and was effectively done through Zoom. Instructors were very effective in linking experiences to theory before and after the role plays.
Duane Schippers, Office of the Veterans Ombudsman, Ottawa, ON, Canada
The amount of role playing and mediation opportunities in the virtual workshop led to an excellent learning environment. The availability of coaches and the feedback of the coaches was excellent.

The virtual training was amazing. It felt like an in-person experience.
Julie Lawson, Georgian College, Barrie, ON, Canada
I feel I learned just as much if not more than if I had gone physically to the in-class workshop.
Chanelle Jackman, Rubis West Indies Limited, St. John’s, Antigua
I’ve been trying to take SFHG training for years, but the requirement to travel from home for almost a week was a barrier. The virtual offering was a gift to me to finally continue toward my goal of achieving the executive certificate in conflict management.
Helen Bobiwash, Accountant, Sudbury, ON, Canada
The virtual instructor-led ADR workshop met my expectations, as I have become more familiar with the mediation process.
James Andrew Splane, Lawyer, Timmins, ON, Canada
The role plays, exercises and coached feedback were all excellent. The virtual training gave me a chance to actively listen and participate in the training virtually.
Penny Marrett, Executive Director, Addiction Services for York Region, Aurora, ON, Canada
The virtual instructor-led role plays and exercises helped to put in practice the principles of negotiation and mediation.
